A video card or graphics card, such as the AMD FireStream 9370, is another type of expansion card. Video cards have become widely used and are constantly upgraded by product manufacturers due to the increasing requirements of video games. Most video cards have additional functions not found in older models. Examples include accelerated 3D and 2D graphics, Firewire,TV output and the ability to connect and use multiple monitors at the same time. Video cards are devices used to create animated images through image and video creation software applications and to manipulate image data, movies and video games. Generally, they are used to create image representations in 2D or 3D. Video card memory capacity usually comes at a minimum of 128 MB to a maximum of 8GB.
