The AVerMedia A311 Mini-Card Dual DVBT is a mini-card that uses signals from DVB-T, or the European Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial. Among its many capabilities, it features stereo sound and FM Radio support, a 75 ohm TV antenna and FM radio input, composite (RCA), and S-video. It is fully compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, and is fully compliant with Windows MCE, running on a driver with WHQL certification for Windows XP.
DVB-T is a European-run consortium standard that regulates the specifications of the digital video transmission in Europe. The standard was first published in 1997 and was first enforced in the first digital video terrestrial transmission in the United Kingdom the next year. Like most digital transmission broadcasting, DVB-T relays compressed audio, video and other information through OFDM, or orthogonal division frequency multiplexing, which divides data into separate data streams, unlike other standards that carries all signals in a single RF stream.AUTHOR
