The Brother DCP 7010 is a monochromatic multifunction device that functions as a laser printer, laser copier, and flatbed color scanner. It has a dedicated scan key that makes it easier to start scanning and launch the needed computer application quickly, for rush or urgent scans. It has printing and copying speeds of up to 20pages per minute, using a 2400 x 600 dpi resolution. Its input paper tray can accommodate 250 sheets, and it has a 16 MB standard built-in memory.
The Brother DCP 7010 uses laser technology to print and copy, which would be quite expected as standalone laser printers and photocopiers actually use the same process called xerography. It was first invented in 1969, but was initially made for high volume printing, and took up so much space that it could fill an entire room. It was not introduced as office equipment until 1981, but it was too expensive to be of use to anyone. It was in 1984 that it was developed for mass commercial use, addressing the issues of cost and size.AUTHOR
