The Canon D480 laser all-in-one printer has copy, fax, scan and network capabilities that can greatly reduce paper consumption through its duplex printing function. It uses the Canon Single Cartridge System that combines the toner and the drum in one unit that is easy to replace. Because of this, images are delivered in high quality and the complication and tedious task of replacing and maintaining two different cartridges is taken out of the equation.
The Canon D480 is a laser printer, using xerography or electrophotography to produce high quality text and graphics. Unlike inkjet printers that use liquid ink to print, this process uses dry ink or toner to build the image. The image is produced by having a laser beam directly scan the image across the machine?s photoreceptor. The same technology is also used in photocopying machines and in digital presses. It uses a cylindrical drum coated with selenium to press the image onto paper.AUTHOR
