Inkjet printers are able to generate image printouts by spraying miniscule dots of ink onto a sheet of paper based on image instructions given by the printer. The quality of print is dependent on several factors such as quality of printer, proper printer maintenance and upkeep, quality and characteristics of ink, and the type of paper used. Some papers, both glossy and matte, can be either too slippery or too absorbent that, when used in combination with poor quality ink, can produce faulty print output of less than ideal clarity.
