The Matrox Millennium G450 LE is part of the Millennium GPUs by Matrox, and the Dual Head feature means that it supports a secondary display. It is a PCI-Express card with a 360 Mhz main memory RAMDAC, random access memory digital to analog controller, and a 240 Mhz secondary memory RAMDAC. Its memory is a DDR (double data rate) SDRAM coming in 16 or 32 MB variants, and has 3D features like Vibrant Color Quality and bilineal and trilinear filtering.

RAMDAC is an integrated circuit that converts digital signals into analog ones that can be recognized by the monitor, usually built into the video adapter or GPU card of the computer. It works by having a color palette stored in a static RAM (SRAM), with three DAC converters that send converted data to the monitor?s display generators, one for each primary color _ red, green, and blue. As more digital interface technology is being implemented, however, the digital-to-analog conversion part of RAMDAC is set on becoming outdated.
