The Nokia 6700 slide phone uses Nokia?s S60 operating system, giving you the functions of both a regular mobile phone and a smartphone. It has 45 MB storage and 128 MB RAM, with expandable memory at up to 16GB through its microSD slot. It takes clearer pictures with its 5 megapixel camera, with 2592 x 1944 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and LED flash. It also has a stereo FM radio and a music player that supports different formats.

The Nokia 6700 slide phone gives you the basic functions of a smartphone. The first smartphone was designed in 1992, shown as a concept product. It was released in 1993, and had a calendar, address book, world clock, calculator, notepad, email client and the ability to send and receive fax, on top of the regular mobile phone features. Nokia started its line of smartphones through the Nokia Communicator line, which started with the Nokia 9000 released in 1996.
