Description:

Printers of the Samsung ML-3050 Series are capable of handling heavy duty printing tasks, offering an average speed of 30 Pages Per Minute (PPM). The devices need less than 9 seconds to print each page, when in 'Ready' state. The maximum print resolution offered by the printers can go up to 1200 x 1200 (dpi). The devices are equipped with Samsung processors of 400 MHz clock speed and 16 ? 64 MB of memory, which can be extended up to 320 MB (depending on the model), in order to process large print queues. All printers in the series offer monthly duty cycle of 35000 pages.

All printers of the given series are equipped with IBM ProPrinter Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) circuits, which essentially allow users to run any printer as an IBM ProPrinter III device, by using proper scripts. This allows the printer to be used in conjunction with many applications that would only support the ProPrinter, such as host connections. The simulation even allows the Samsung printer to support the same sets of German characters as the ones that could only be used with the ProPrinter. The emulation can be turned on as and when required, by executing a program sequence built using Printer Job Language (PJL), and makes the printer run continuously in ProPrinter mode, unless the mode is changed manually, by running another script.
