The device offers a Scan to SMB (where SMB stands for Server Message Block) feature, which allows the user to transmit scanned copies of documents directly to any computer on the network. The features can be configured easily, with the help of SyncThru Web Service provided by Samsung. The user has the option of choosing TIFF, PDF, or JPEG as the format of these documents, and can select a maximum of 20 different locations on the network to which the files can be sent. The folders to which the files would be sent can be protected by assigning an encrypted password to each of them, ensuring that only authorized users can access the scanned documents.
