The Eizo FlexScan T561 is a CRT monitor aimed at users who want something more than just the basics. The FlexScan is based on a Mitsubishi Natural Flat Diamondtron tube, which allows the screen surface to be completely flat at all angles. This enhances the screen geometry and reduces surface reflection. The unit is relatively compact compared to other CRTs and comes with a tilt and swivel stand. Connections include both D-SUB and BNC with a button on the front to allow users to switch between the two if twin machines are connected to the monitor.

Often, the term CRT is used within the context of the computing and television industry. The CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) is a technology that has long been applied to monitor production. It involves a vacuum tube that has a source of electrons which it fires using an electron gun. A fluorescent panel or screen at the other end receives these electrons which are converted to images. The unit works by accelerating or deflecting a beam of electrons onto the screen to produce images. This image may be pictures for televisions and computer monitor, waveforms on an oscilloscope, and others.
