The USB Display Device (T1P) is a component of the drivers of many USB to SVGA converters, among them the Manhattan Hi-Speed USB 2.0 SVGA Converter. This is a device that runs on an MCT Trigger 1+ chipset with 16 MB of DDRAM and allows users to connect their display devices, like monitors and LCD projectors to a computer via a standard USB 2.0 connection. It supports plug and play connectivity as well as multiple display modes that include primary, extended and mirror. Both LCD and CRT monitors can be connected to a computer using this adapter as it supports all standard aspect ratios (4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10).

The device supports three different display modes when connected to a second monitor ? extended, mirror and primary. The extended display mode is the default mode that extends the user's screen to the USB device, effectively doubling the desktop area (if the second monitor is of the same size as the primary one). The mirror mode displays the primary screen's contents on the second monitor, and at the same screen resolution. Finally, the primary mode makes the monitor attached to the adapter the primary monitor. In addition to these modes, the product also allows screen rotation so that the user can use the monitor from any position.
