An often used and heard term in computing is PCI. The letters PCI are the initials for Peripheral Component Interconnect, which refers to a computer bus, or set of physical connections inside a computer, for connecting devices. In can be fit into the motherboard as an integrated circuit or as an expansion card that can be inserted into an appropriate slot. The usual PCI cards in computers are modems, sound cards, network cards, disc controllers, tuner cards, or additional ports, typically USBs.
