The ViewSonic E773 17” CRT Monitor has a maximum resolution of 1280x1024dpi at 60Hz. It has a 16” viewable display and is compatible with both PC and Mac systems. It has a 0.25mm dot pitch that gives finer details. It also has an average power consumption of less than 105 watts when in use, less than 15 watts on standby or suspended mode, and less than 5 watts when out of range or at fault.

Monitors that use Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) technology such as the ViewSonic E773 17” Monitor use light emissions from a fluorescent screen to create images. In their earlier days, CRTs were also used as memory devices where the light emitted from the screen may not have any meaning to an observer, but would be cryptic representations of stored data. The CRT was first called as the Braun tube, after Ferdinand Braun who was the German physicist who invented it in 1897.
