The LiteBird ViewSonic PJ853 is ideal for mobile presentations because it is only 3 inches tall and weighs a meager 5.3 pounds. This ultra-slim and micro-portable projector will easily slip in any brief case with a laptop. Its three panel LCD system produces sharp images. Its brightness is 800 lumens and its contrast has a ratio of 300:1. Images may be viewed well even in lit rooms. It can be projected from any angle because it has Digital Keystone Correction, which squares the image even when the projector is not directly opposite the screen.

The LCD projector was invented in 1968 by Genigh Dolgoff from New York. He wanted to produce projections that would be much brighter and vivid than 3-CRT projectors. His idea was to use a “light valve” in order to control the amount of light passing through the projector. After using an assortment of materials, he found that liquid crystals produced the best results. He was able to build the first LCD projector in 1984. He saw many problems with it and invented new optical technologies to create better images. In 1988 he opened the first LCD projector company.
