The ViMicro SC0301PLH is a camera processor built to run economically without comprising the output quality of the camera. It supports 10/9/8-bit RGB raw format which allows for easier photo manipulation such as white balancing, colour and gamma correction as well as support for special features such as sepia and canvas. White balance is the process of removing unrealistic colour hues from photos so that they appear closer in colour as they do in person. White balance takes into account the colour temperature which our eyes can detect quite easily but cameras suffer from. White balance is adjusted depending on the light source (and thus colour temperature). This ranges from Tungsten bulb at 2500K all the way to shade or heavily overcast sky at 10000K.
