Description
This free update for ACDSee 4 includes various bug fixes and the following new features:
- The database now requires significantly less memory and is more reliable.
- Improved stability during database maintenance.
- Smoother image resizing and scrolling.
- EXIF metadata in TIFF files can now be edited.
- Embedding thumbnails into EXIF metadata in JPEG files is now supported.
- Support for .crw files created by Canon S30 and S40 cameras.
- E-mail plug-in now sets the last sending account as the default for convenience; accounts in the Cc: field are no longer duplicated in subsequent e-mails; proper subject lines are shown in Outlook.
- Database information that is entered while using PhotoSee is preserved when transferring files from PhotoSee to ACDSee.
- The decoding of PSD files is now the same as in version 3.1.
To use this update, you must have ACDSee 4.0, ACDSee 4.0 Suite, ACDSee 4.0 PowerPack, or ACDSee 4.0 PowerPack Suite. The update can also be applied to any ACDSee 4.0 products that have been previously updated with the Service Release 1 update (changes from SR1 are included in this new update - there is no need to install SR-1 first). You can find your current the version of ACDSee 4 by starting ACDSee and clicking Help-About ACDSee.
