Description
Before installing this patch, be sure to update Acrobat 6 (full version) or the free Adobe Reader to 6.0.3. (you need to apply the 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.0.3 patches before this one) - all Acrobat updates are listed here. This Acrobat 6.0.4 update addresses an important security issue in the Adobe Acrobat and Plug-in. The plug-in is normally installed into your browser, so the risk is the same as having a security hole in your browser. The 6.0.4 update fixes a buffer overflow issue that could allow a nasty web site to crash your system or run unauthorised software (eg install a virus). It is important to download an install this update immediately. The version number of Acrobat can be found in the Help-About menu.
