Description
The Acrobat 7.0.5 patch includes all fixes released in earlier updates (such as 7.0.1 or 7.02). It can be applied to an unpatched (7.0) or a previously patched release of Acrobat Professional. A great new feature in the 7.0.5 release is the Typewriter tool. It is a modification to the existing Text Box tool with a different set of default properties, which allows you to type text anywhere on a PDF document. This tool provides a simple solution for filling out forms without interactive form fields.
On the security side, the update addresses important issues in the Adobe Acrobat and Plug-in and a buffer overflow issue that could allow a nasty web site to crash your system or run unauthorised software (eg install a virus). It is important to download an install this update immediately. The version number of Acrobat can be found in the Help-About menu.
