Description
This update fixes a number of frustrating and quirky bugs in Illustrator 9 including:

Enhanced Performance
  • Selecting artwork and working in Outline mode is faster.
  • Optimized internally to take advantage of the Macintosh G4 Velocity Engine and Intel Pentium III processors
Streaming SIMD Extensions
  • Scratch disk use is minimized.
  • Exporting files to SVG format is faster.
Improved File Integrity
  • The window shade issue is resolved.
  • Groups included in compound paths round-trip when saved as PDF 1.3 and 1.4.
  • Vertically scaled text now exports correctly to SVG.
  • The Euro character now displays and prints correctly.
Improved Stability
  • The Sangam2Mapper plug-in no longer causes freezes when launching.
  • iMode rasterization settings now appear in the Save for Web dialog.
  • Force Fonts to Download option now works correctly with EFI Fiery RIPs in Japan.
