Importantly, if you are using Windows Vista, this update will fix compatibility issues between Vista and Photo Elements 3.0. Premiere Elements 5.0 was released in in September 2006, but the final version of Windows Vista was not available at the time to complete the compatibility testing (it shipped several months later). Once Vista was finalised, the 3.0.2 patch was released. Adobe lists the system requirements as either Windows XP or Windows Vista only.
