Description


The Canon iP1700 printer driver for Windows XP or 2000 can be used to update an existing driver or as part of a new Windows/printer setup. This download will install version 2.05 of the software driver onto your system. To check that this is the correct driver for your printer, look at the Canon logo in the middle-front section of the printer (just above the paper output area). In smaller writing you should see the model number listed as PIXMA iP1700. It can easily confused with other similar looking Canon models and numbers, so ensure you double-check everything.

The driver for the Canon iP1700 printer was last released in June 2006, so it is unlikely to be updated again. It would be a good idea to download and backup this file for future use.

Windows 7
Windows 7 users should have a printer driver for the iP1700 already built in to the operating system. Given the age of the ip1700 printer, it is unlikely that Canon will release a specific driver download for Windows 7. However, Canon released some tools that will increase the functionality of the iP1700 printer. Together the Windows 7 built-in driver and these additional downloads should provide everything needed for a typical PC and printer:
