Description

This download contains the audio driver for C-Media CMI8330 audio device. The setup program will install version 4.7 of the driver onto Windows 98 or 2000. The driver features support for DOS mode and the MPU-401 emulator uses WSS mode for output, so select SB16 mode as wave (voice) output device. The SB16 & WSS are used to perform full-duplex functions, but some applications will detect the sound card as not being full-duplex.To get around this problem, set the playback device to 'Sound System Playback' and the record device to 'SB16 Record' (it's listed under 'Multimedia' in the Control Panel). Also ensure the item 'Use preferred devices only' is checked.
