It installs the HP Deskjet and Photosmart Basic Print Driver version 9.4.2 onto your system. Note a separate driver is available for Windows Vista - see the driver section of this site. HP state that you should ensure that the printer is NOT connected to the computer before running the installation file. Once the driver installation has completed, connect the USB cable between the printer and the computer, then turn on the printer.
