HP driver downloads for HP printers and scanners
This section lists HP driver and software updates to download for Windows. Many drivers are included in the Windows installation, but you still may need to download add-on components to increase the functionality of a piece of hardware. These HP driver downloads will work on most versions of Windows from the new kid on the block, Windows 7, stretching back to 2000 and, for some cases, Windows 95. Keep in mind that much of HP's older hardware (and software) was not designed for Windows 7 - or even Vista, so they may require an update or new driver in order to operate correctly on these newer versions of Windows. In a few instances it may mean that you need to purchase a new printer or scanner. Before doing that, try compatability mode, a feature available in Windows 7 (see the Windows 7 Help file for details).
As a general rule, most users of Windows 7 are not reporting anywhere near the same number of driver issues that they had with Windows Vista.
