Description

Download the Nvidia ForceWare Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) to deliver new performance optimizations and features in both Microsoft DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.0. Previously this driver package was called the Detonator series but has been changed to ForceWare - if you are confused by the naming, use the version numbers as a guide to whether you should update (for example the 45.23 version is called 'Detonator' but this changed to ForceWare with the release of 53.03 - they are still the same driver series). It offers new performance, visual quality, and higher reliability in this integrated software upgrade.

According to Nvidia, this new package includes
  • Adds support for GeForce 7900 GTX, GeForce 7900 GT, and GeForce 7600 GT New NVIDIA PureVideo features and enhancements. Support for high definition H.264 hardware decode acceleration on GeForce 6 and 7 series GPUs.
  • Support for high definition MPEG-2 inverse telecine.
  • Support for high definition MPEG-2 spatial temporal de-interlacing.
  • Adds mixed vendor support for NVIDIA SLI.
  • TV-Out/HD-out support for NVIDIA SLI.
  • Added support for VSync on Direct3D games when running NVIDIA SLI.
  • DirectX 9.0c and OpenGL 2.0 support
